Warranty Policy
Mystique Marine (Pty) Ltd
1. Manufacturer Warranty
All marine electronics and related products sold by Mystique Marine (Pty) Ltd are covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty, unless otherwise stated on the product page.
The standard manufacturer warranty period is a minimum of twelve (12) months from the date of delivery
Some products may carry extended warranties, which will be honoured in accordance with the manufacturer’s terms
Mystique Marine (Pty) Ltd acts as a retailer and facilitator of warranty claims and does not provide an independent warranty unless expressly stated in writing.
2. Warranty Coverage
The manufacturer warranty typically covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal and intended use.
Subject to manufacturer terms, warranty claims may result in:
Repair of the product
Replacement of the product
Refund (at the manufacturer’s discretion)
All warranty outcomes are subject to inspection, testing, and approval by the manufacturer or an authorised service agent.
3. What Is Not Covered
Warranty coverage does not include damage or failure resulting from, but not limited to:
Incorrect installation, wiring, or configuration
Failure to follow manufacturer installation or operating instructions
Improper use, negligence, or misuse
Water ingress due to incorrect installation or sealing
Corrosion, saltwater exposure beyond product specifications
Electrical issues, power surges, or incompatible equipment
Physical damage, impact damage, or unauthorised modifications
Normal wear and tear
Software, firmware, or data-related issues unless explicitly covered
Professional installation is strongly recommended for all marine electronics.
4. Commercial & Charter Use Disclaimer
Where products are used on charter vessels, commercial craft, or income-generating vessels, the warranty applies only to the product itself as defined by the manufacturer.
Mystique Marine (Pty) Ltd shall not be liable for any:
Loss of charter income
Loss of hire or vessel downtime
Business interruption
Cancelled bookings or third-party refunds
Consequential or indirect commercial losses
Warranty claims do not entitle the customer to compensation beyond the repair, replacement, or refund of the product as determined by the manufacturer.
5. Dead on Arrival (DOA)
If a product is dead on arrival (DOA) or fails within 30 days of delivery, please notify us immediately.
We will arrange assessment and, where applicable, replacement or repair
Courier collection may be arranged at our discretion
DOA claims are subject to inspection and manufacturer approval
Products showing signs of installation, misuse, or damage may not qualify as DOA.
6. Warranty Claim Process
To initiate a warranty claim, please contact us before returning any items:

Please include:
Order number
Product model and serial number
Description of the fault
Photos or videos (where applicable)
No warranty returns will be accepted without prior authorisation.
7. Shipping Costs for Warranty Claims
The customer is responsible for shipping the product to Mystique Marine (Pty) Ltd or the authorised service agent
If the warranty claim is approved, we will cover the cost of shipping the repaired or replacement product back to the customer
If the claim is rejected, return shipping costs will be for the customer’s account
We strongly recommend securely packaging and insuring all items returned under warranty.
8. Software & Firmware
Warranty coverage does not extend to:
Software configuration issues
Firmware updates or compatibility matters
Data loss
Software-related matters may be handled directly with the manufacturer.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mystique Marine (Pty) Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use any product, including loss of income, loss of use, or commercial losses.
Nothing in this policy limits consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) where such rights cannot lawfully be excluded.
